If you don't copyright your work, yes, you are the owner, but it technically constitutes as public domain. If someone swipes shit from my flickr, last i knew, it was FUCKING LEGAL because it's not copyrighted.

Half the reason i post on DA is becuase it puts kind of a "copyright" on my shit, (and the wording in the TOS when i first joined said..) so that as long as my work was uploaded, it was MY property, and could use the screencap as evidence that it was in fact my work.

Does no one remember what happened when the beatles songs went into public domain, and michael jackson beat Paul McCartney to the punch buying them?
Just because i put my music on the internet doesn't mean that people won't steal it.
